Surveys are used to gather information when it is not otherwise available. We understand that surveys can be a big investment, so it's critical to invest in a good design and appropriate analysis.
A well designed questionnaire is vital to ensure that the information collected is accurate, unbiased and, most importantly, is the information needed to address research issues. Of equal importance is the design of the sampling frame and selection of the sample.
Our expertise in conducting and managing surveys encompasses the complete survey process across different implementation methodologies. Our software development team and survey specialists also provide internet-based survey and data collection solutions tailored to the needs of the research.
Data Analysis Australia has specialist consultants to offer advice or assistance on: - Development of performance indicators
- Multivariate analysis techniques such as conjoint analysis, segmentation analysis, regression modelling and perceptual mapping
- Data mining predictive analytics and product demand forecasting
- Population profiling and market segmentation using Census and customer data combined with survey data.
We skilfully handle the most complex statistical and data management problems that occur in market and social research. Our survey expertise is demonstrated by the completion of our largest ever survey, which ran continuously for 7 days a week, 365 days a year for four years. This survey, The Perth and Regions Travel Survey (PARTS), collected important information on the day-to-day travel activities of residents of Perth, Mandurah and the Shire of Murray and will be used for the planning of roads, public transport services and other facilities. This survey has provided the Department for Planning and Infrastructure (DPI) with a dataset that is unrivalled in terms of its accuracy, completeness and currency.
