[pygtk] Status of PyGTK and the newer GNOMe stuff

Hello, I am just looking at Python and obviously the PyGTK and PyGNOME
stuff.

How upto date is PyGNMOE/GTK?  For example the ever changing Bonobo and
new widgets from evolution.

I ask as I am about to embark on an application, and since evolution has
done a large part of my work for me I was hopping to add components to
it, rather than write my own (inferior) mail and contact manager.
