Presumably :) Perhaps you've set the "Type Hint" in glade to something
other than "normal" -- perhaps to "splash"?

Other than that, I don't have any ideas. It would be surprising if this
were some kind of pyglade related bug, but you could generate code from
glade and try running that to see if it's a glade issue or a C issue.

Alternatively, post the glade file and I/we can take a look at it.
