I think the second one looks better actually.  It might be how it
looks on Windows XP with Cleartype, but my linux laptop died so I
can't give any commentary there, but I think bold text with a lighter
hue tends to blend in better than a darker color.  At least, that's
what it looks like here at work.  It seems to flow with the rest of
the design better.
