Yeah, it's exactly the same structure used in Thunderbird. With this screenshot 
it seems clear that they don't use a Treeview, just VBox/HBox combinations (or a 
gtk Table) inside a ScrolledWindow.

I did! I was searching GTK structures with no luck (since it's written XUL, that 
has indeed no mistery)
