Regarding TextView and ScrolledWindow widgets, I asked:
1. .... Is there something I can do to tickle it into reconsidering its
policy when I change the text contents?
2. Ideally, I'd like to use a horizontal policy of Never and have the
TextView widget resize horizontally to accommodate the longest line of
text I insert. Is that possible?
About three minutes after posting I had the bright idea to look at the
properties of the dialog box itself. I had explicitly set both the width
and height of the dialog, keeping it from expanding to accommodate size
requests from its kids. Unchecking the width allowed it to expand or shrink
in that direction. [head slap]
Sorry for the noise.
