[pygtk] VPaned/HPaned resizing

Hi all,

I have some windows with VPaned and HPaned widgets in them. These
windows are each divided into two panes and have one slider. When I
resize those windows, the *first* pane always stays the same size (the
one at the top or the left) whereas the *second* pane is the one that
shrinks and expands.

Is there a way I can set up my panes so that the first one is the one
that shrinks and expands by default? I don't want the second pane to be
a fixed size: the used should still be able to adjust the panes. It's
just that by default the stuff in the second pane is less likely to need
resizing, so it should be the first one that grows with the window.

eg
+--------+
| | |
| a b $ |
| | |
+--------+

should become

+-------------+
| | |
| a b c | |
| $ |
| d e f | |
| | |
+-------------+

when I resise.

Any suggestions would be great.

Cheers
JP
