[pygtk] Request: Howto determine a button's size after it's been assigned a label, but before it's displayed

Hello,
I'm sizing objects. In particular a table of buttons. As I add a button,
I would like to determine it's size, keep track of the maximum, so that 
I can resize the table to minimize it with respect to a neighboring 
gtk.ScrolledWindow.
