I'm not able to directly help you, but to get an answer from anybody, your need to provide more information.

What versions of GTK+ / GLib / Pango / PyGTK / Python / Operating System do you have installed?  It's another story if you are using (Py)GTK+ 2.6 provided by your Linux distributor or get the sources daily from cvs.gnome.org.
