[pygtk] Place a widget in a window at desired position

Hi there,

 

I'm new to pygtk and want to know, is there any way to place a widget, like
a label or an image, at an exact position in a window? For example I want to
place a label at (500,500) to left upper corner, no matter the window is in
full screen or other state.

 

I tried some ways like table or box container, but neither can achieve my
desired effect.
