This question may sound weird but... have you learned how to wrap
gobjects from python with an article on ibm.com site?

Their example show how to wrap a trayicon module and I don't see any
other real reason for this error.

check if in your .override you don't have something like:

%%
modulename trayicon
%%

I can be terribly wrong of course, in that case I apologize.
