[pygtk] pixel color

Hi,

I am writing a program in pygtk with a gtk.gdk.pixmap area, and i need to
know the color of a pixel, but the only possible way it's to use
gtk.gdk.image and i don't know how to do this.

How can i do this? There is another way?
