[pygtk] mpeg4 preview?

hello,
I need to be able to make a preview of an mpeg4, and display it in a
gtk.Image, or a similar object.
I also only have gtk2.4 at the most, and no access PIL, (development
platform requirements...)
 any ideas on how to do something like this?
