[pygtk] Suggesting the size of a TextView

Hello,

I have a window which shows a TextView. The TextView uses a monospace
font. I would like my program to suggest that the textview will show,
say, 80 columns and 20 lines, and so the window will be larger.
Currently the window starts in its minimal size.

Is it possible to do that?
