[pygtk] Splash screen

We ended up not doing a splashscreen for CANVAS simply because getting
it working reliably with the threading and having it on Win32 and Linux
both ended up being a TON of work.
At some point you're going to think "Ya know, I actually HATE it when
programs have splashscreens" and decide not to do it. :>

| that gtk.gdk.threads_xxx() methods calls avoid the application to be
| rendered too, but even without these calls, it is like the gtk.main()
