[pygtk] Localization and internationalization

I found a very interesting documentation:

but I need advice: how do you organize yourself to do all the steps?
Where do you store temporary files? Are you using nice scripts to
automatically generate all files? There are a lot of steps, and a good
method is needed to avoid spending too much time...
