[pygtk] Printing: how to begin?

Hey everybody,

My program has some sort of pedigree and I want the user to be able to 
print this out.
So how do I start with this? I can get all the data from the widgets, no 
problem. But then? How do I get the data on a page and print it out?
I read some about cairo, but I don't know if that's in the right direction.
And ofcourse, it has to be cross-platform.
