[pygtk] Subclassing GObject (WAS: Registering GTK-Widgets)

Ok,

seems like the topic should be "Subclassing GObject" as this is the real
issue :). Googling and looking through documentation does not reveal any
official statement. There is this FAQ-Entry [1] - linking to a
non-existing site. And using the webarchive to look at what has been
there once, reveals that it is outdated.

Another "source" are the "What changed in PyGTK-2.8" [2] - but this
provides very rudimental information only.

Is there some documentation I have missed? Or is there just no official
comprehensive one?
