[pygtk] How to show/hide gtk.Paned?

Basically, what I am looking for is the ability to show or hide
portions of a gtk.Paned, similar to how Gedit can show/hide its side
pane and bottom pane. I would think that since Gedit is able to do
this, it should be possible with PyGTK, unless it hasn't been
implemented yet. I have already tried using .hide_all() on the
gtk.ScrolledWindow which I wish to hide, but it doesn't seem to work,
and the pane along with the text area are still there. Anyone have any
idea where I should look, or what I should do?
