[pygtk] Detachable/dockable user interface

Hi all,

For some time now we're struggling with the UI of Gaphor (http://gaphor.sf.net). What we want to have basically is a detachable user interface such as been used with Gimp and Inkscape.

As far as I know there are no default widgets in GTK+ that provide this functionality. Is there any GTK+ library that we can use (preferably python of course :) )?

Any suggestion is welcome,
