"Acire Snippets" has now a proper website that hopefully will score 
better in web search results: http://aciresnippets.wordpress.com/

It has information on how to install and contribute to the project. It 
is focused on ubuntu/linux users, so it would be a nice contribution to 
make it better suited for other OSes (perhaps having a snippet editor 
that is able to send snippets to the central repo and get newer versions 
of the snippets library).
