[Statsoc] SSAI meeting on 8 May 2012

Dear Members,

As a reminder, the May seminar for the SSAI WA Branch will be the annual Young Statisticians meeting and will be held tomorrow, Tuesday the 8th of May.  Sylvia Soltyk and Elyse Corless, recipients of the 2011 SSAI WA Branch Honours Scholarships, will present talks based on their honours research projects.  Abstracts of the talks as well as information about the speakers are available in an attached document.  Join us in the Monadelphous Integrated Learning Center at UWA from 5:30 PM onwards for wine and cheese.  The seminar will follow at 6:00 PM in the Blakers Lecture Theatre, UWA.  The evening will conclude with dinner at Sunflowers restaurant.  This event is geared towards young statisticians, so we would encourage students and early career statisticians to attend to meet other young statisticians and professionals.  As an extra incentive, dinner is only $15 for students and young statisticians.
