CAN YOU HELP US?
Pelican Point Sea Scouts Jetty Repair Programme
1st Pelican Point Sea Scouts are gathering support to repair our jetty to ensure the future of sailing for our scouts and we need your help to raise $90,000
Pelican Point Sea Scout Group was founded as "1st WA Troop Sea Scouts" in 1913. Since its
establishment Pelican Point Sea Scout Group has had a special role in scouting in Western Australia. It has been the centre of sea scouting and during World War II, a voluntary Air Observer Corps post was established at Pelican Point operating from the lookout tower. This tower was manned day and night by scouts, rovers and parents to identify, log and report any air craft sightings. They also served the community in the years before and after the war by helping capsized yachts, protecting life and property and in many other ways.
Today – the current Jetty is need of repair to ensure the future of sailing for our Scouts.
Be part of history by purchasing a piece of the jetty
