This page contains info and source for C programs and my programs for the Sharp EL-9300, EL-9600 and Casio CFX-9850G calculators. For detailed information about the calculator programs, go to the calculator information page.

C programs

I haven't used C a lot, but I've written a
Mandelbrot set drawer in it, as well as a Game of Life simulator (the cellular automata, not the board game). These programs were written in Borland Turbo C, so the graphics may be a bit proprietry. I'm currently writing a fractal compression program, but am stuck due to my inability to pass arrays to functions properly.

Sharp EL-9300

I own this calculator, and have written a fair few programs for it. These include Blackjack, All Data Cleared (makes it look like you've reset your calculator), and a port of Drugwar.

Sharp EL-9600

I was given this calculator as a freebie for doing a Sharp calculator conference thingy. It has much better statistics than the 9300, also a finacial, simultaneous and up to 3rd degree solvers. It also has a wide screen and table and split graph modes, as well as supporting sequence functions. However, it is rather slow, and the programming is not as good as the 9300. I have written Blackjack and ported Drugwar for it.

Casio CFX-9850G

This calcutalor (in its Plus version) is, in my opinion, the best calculator for the WA TEE. The programming is better than any other, and the colour screen clinches it. Anyway, I've only written a few programs, because I don't have one myself. They're Hangman and Nibbles. I've also improved the Drugwar from the Happy Parrot Casio Games site. Nibbles and Hangman are also available there. All these programs run on the CFX-9{8|9}50G(B) (PLUS). (Items in round brackets optional, in curly brackets choose one)

This page is constantly under construction, so don't worry if some of the linx don't work. If you've been here before, you could also reload this page to get the latest version.
