How many statisticians does it take to change a light bulb 💡? Just one – plus a second to verify the results! Extending a warm welcome to Sophie Ngo and Jordan Brown who recently joined the Data Analysis Australia statistical and data science consulting team 👨‍💻👩‍💻.

Sophie joins us with consulting experience from KPMG helping clients in the Energy, Mining, Financial and Public Health sectors managing risk within their organisation. Sophie is keen to apply her skills learnt during her Bachelor of Science degree (Actuarial Science) from Curtin University in 2023, whilst she also holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology from Murdoch University.

Jordan had previously been applying statistical expertise at Curtin University within the AAGI research group, often dealing with spatiotemporal modelling problems and experimental design. Well studied, Jordan completed a double major in Mathematics and Statistic and Botany at the University of Western Australia before going on to receive first-class honours in Mathematics and Statistics.

They have already both been involved in multiple projects and we’re excited to have them on board!
